Thai Oil Massage

Flowing full-body massage with warm plain oil, on a table.

In short

Thai oil massage is a flowing, medium-pressure full-body treatment on a table with warm unscented oil. It is our plainest and least expensive oil massage.

A softer, continuous style using warm oil and long strokes rather than deep pressure points. Performed on a massage table with professional draping throughout.

This is the plainest of our three oil massages, and the least expensive. The oil is a light unscented massage oil: no essential-oil blend, no coconut. If you have not had an oil massage before, or you want one without deciding anything about fragrance, start here.

The difference from traditional Thai massage is the whole treatment, not just the oil. Traditional Thai is dry, worked through loose clothing on a mat, and moves you through assisted stretches. This is worked on a table, on skin, under professional draping, and it does not stretch you at all. People who find traditional Thai too firm usually mean the stretching, and this is the treatment they move to.
