Foot Massage
Oil massage of the feet and lower legs, seated or lying down.
In short
Foot massage is focused oil work on the feet, ankles and lower legs, done seated or lying down. No table and no changing are needed, and it runs 60 to 120 minutes.
Focused work on the feet, ankles and lower legs with warm oil. You stay dressed from the waist up; your therapist works one leg at a time, from the calf down through the arch and toes.
It is the treatment for legs that have carried you around Bangkok all day — long walks, standing, heat and flights all end up in the same place. Thumb and knuckle pressure through the sole, then broader work up the calf, then a stretch through the ankle.
It is also the easiest of our treatments to fit around a day: no table is required, no changing, and an hour is enough.
Who is this massage suitable for?
Tired, heavy or swollen legs after walking or a long flight.
Anyone who wants a treatment without undressing.
A first massage for somebody unsure about a full-body one.
When should I avoid this treatment?
Tell us about varicose veins, a recent ankle or foot injury, diabetes affecting the feet, athlete's foot or any open skin on the feet. We may work above the affected area only, or recommend a different treatment.
What does the therapist bring?
Warm oil or balm, fresh towels, and a footstool or the end of a bed — no table is needed.
How should I prepare?
An armchair or sofa with room to put your feet up, and somewhere to rinse afterwards if you prefer.
Professional conduct
Work is confined to the feet and lower legs. Draping is used and your therapist will ask before working on any area.
