Head, Neck & Shoulder Massage
Seated work through the shoulders, neck and scalp. Through clothing, no oil.
In short
Head, neck and shoulder massage is seated work through the upper back, shoulders, neck and scalp, done through clothing with no oil. It runs 45 to 120 minutes.
Work through the upper back, the shoulders, the base of the neck and the scalp, done seated and through clothing. No oil and no undressing.
It is the treatment for a head that will not switch off: tension that sits across the top of the shoulders, a neck that has stopped turning as far as it should, and the tightness behind the eyes that comes with it. The scalp work at the end is what most people remember.
If your complaint is specifically desk work — a keyboard, a mouse, a wrist that aches by the afternoon — see Office Syndrome Massage instead. That treatment adds the forearms and hands, is priced the same at every shared duration, and offers a three-hour session this one does not.
Who is this massage suitable for?
Tension headaches that start at the base of the skull.
Shoulders that will not drop.
Anyone who wants a treatment they can have fully clothed, in a chair.
When should I avoid this treatment?
Tell us before booking about any diagnosed neck or cervical-spine condition, recent whiplash, dizziness on turning the head, or numbness in the arms. We may work more lightly or recommend seeing a doctor first.
What does the therapist bring?
A portable chair or an ordinary dining chair, fresh towels. No table and no oil unless you ask for it.
How should I prepare?
Nothing at all. A chair with a back you can sit forward on is enough, and there is no changing room needed.
Professional conduct
This is a therapeutic treatment carried out through clothing. Your therapist will ask before working on the head or the neck.
